Mayoral Cars Link to this post

Hello

I have been asked by members to find out how other Councils deal with the running and maintenance of the Mayoral Car.

We are particularly interested in whether you lease or own the car and whether you have any negotiated any local sponsorship which contributes towards the costs.

Please could I ask you to complete the short survey below.

I would be very grateful for any information you can provide.

Please could I please ask that you respond by no later than 22 November 2017.

If any information is commercially sensitive please just provide the broad details and if it is easier to telephone me please call me on 01772 625542.

Many thanks in advance.

Tracy O'Reilly

Any other comments: owning a car means it needs to be utilised correctly in order to obtain VFM from the car. Our problem is - we cannot recruit a suitable chauffeur to drive the car. So, we have a car we cannot return, a chauffeur we cannot recruit to and a growing bill for using contract cars as and when needed. Leasing all the way is the future, or public transport.

Kind regards

Tracy
